Medical Supplies And Equipment For A Healthier Belize

The Belize Medical Logistics Network is an ad hoc volunteer group of Placencia community members who use and support the Placencia Polyclinic. It consists of a Managing Director, Joe Foley, BSRT, and an Advisory Committee of 10 residents of varying backgrounds.

Mr. Foley, who has 50+ years of experience in the field of radiology, discovered that the Placencia Polyclinic was in need of an x-ray machine. He contacted the Polyclinic to see if Medical Bridges might be of assistance with any of their medical supply and/or equipment needs.

Medical Bridges is a registered U.S. based 501(c)3 located in Houston, Texas. They provide donated medical supplies and equipment to over 100 countries around the globe. Thus, Operation Eagle Ray was born — a collaborative effort to bring a large amount of useful medical supplies and equipment for the benefit of Placencia Peninsula residents.
